This notice describes the current live configuration. Cloudflare provides essential hosting and security; its optional Web Analytics product is selected but not currently active.
Essential functions
Cloudflare currently sets a strictly necessary security cookie named __cf_bm when its bot-protection service evaluates a visit. Cloudflare says the cookie is required for bot protection, expires after 30 minutes of inactivity, is encrypted and is created separately for each site. It does not correspond to a user ID or track people from site to site or from session to session. Bright Dog Days does not use it for advertising or audience profiling.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is selected but is not currently active on the live site. Cloudflare states that it uses no cookies or local storage for usage metrics, does not fingerprint individuals, does not log query strings and does not support custom events. It provides aggregate visits, page paths and performance information.

A merchant or network may use an attribution cookie after a reader chooses a disclosed affiliate link. The relevant merchant's notice governs its own processing; Bright Dog Days will explain the relationship beside the recommendation.
If the setup changes
Bright Dog Days will update this notice before activating analytics or adding non-essential cookies, local storage or another tracking technology. If the statistical-purpose exception is used, visitors will receive clear information and a simple, free way to object. Otherwise, analytics will require the relevant prior consent. The technology will remain off until the appropriate choice mechanism is in place.
